I had several things that inspired the trilogy SECRETS OF THE BAYOUS about hidden gold, secret pirates, and love. One of them was this picture of a ship. Actually, it is an oil painting that I found at Saint Vinnie's one day when I was strolling through. It grabbed my imagination and never let go. It has sat on my dry erase board for the entire time the three book saga has been developed, written, and published. (SECRET: Book 3 is not published yet, but it has been written.) Just look at this painting, can you not deny the feel of adventure? If I was more techy, I'd figure out how to crop it better, but you can get the "picture." Pun intended! Post a comment would love to hear reactions. (I will try to credit the artist, looks like it says Hoffman)
