The editor has a new contract, and with the agent makes a pact, while both settle in to watch the readers react.
While out on Amazon there arose such a clatter!
She sprang from her bed to see what was the matter!
On historical! On Paranormal! On romance lists, all!
To the top of the charts did Dark Secrets, Deep Bayous crawl!
And laying a finger aside of her nose, the author's good friend did strike a smug pose.
Now what did I tell you? she said in the night, when the author was having herself a good fright.
All turned out well. You knew I'd be right.
